This Plano box was found in a bargin’ box that I picked up at a show.
The big box also included 2 packs of Kato motor caps, springs and brushes, a Kato Mikado drawbar, and 2 packs of Kato crank pins.

Other than the chain, I have no clue what this other stuff is.
Can you ID any of it?
Is it N?

I put a dime in the box to show scale.
The Plano box compartments are 1.5 in. square.

Middle top;
I’m guessing motor brush springs, they are slightly shorter, in both length and diameter than Normal coupler springs.
Made from steel

Lower left:
The pins are brass.
The shaft of the pin measures .036.
The mid flange measures .060.
The bulb measures .052
I can pass a .020 standard paper staple through the hole in the bulb.
Over all length of the pin is .194.
These are about twice as long as a Kato Mike crank pin.
Perhaps they are stanchions? Crankpins?
I dunno.

Lower middle;
Parts are spring steel.
Angle is +/- 45°.
Each leg is .220 X .135 and has two .035 holes near the end. One leg also has rectangle slot measuring .100 X .020.
Defiantly springs of some sort, but that of which I have never seen in (N)ormal scale.
I dunno.

Lower right;
Although the parts are the color of steel, they are not magnetic.
Parts have hex head measuring .047 across opposite faces.
Overall length is .083 while diameter is .031.
The parts are hollowed out at the base ~ .020 dia. X ~ .020 deep.
I dunno about these either.

Can any of you guyz clue me in as to what they are?

The lower left hand box looks like maybe they could be handrail stanchions.

If you have no use for the Mikado drawbar, I could find an immediate use for it if you're interested in selling/swapping! Very Happy

Dick

Top left to right: HO truck springs, HO chain, possibly Campbell's...bottom left to right: HO handrail stantions, HO truck leaf springs, rivets for HO steam loco valve gear.

You now have the attention of Ray and I as to what you will do with them... Surprised

Thanks Bob,

I didn't know what I had.
It's yours, as I am a (N)ormal scaler and have no use for it.
PM your addy and I'll send it out to you ASAP.

Maybe you and Ray can divey it up.

The chain is six pieces each about 6in. in length.

On the lower left, could they be pins for link and pin couplering in HO? If so I would like to buy them if FS.

Dunno Jon, bin is on its way to Bob’s.
All I know is the brass pins are too big for N.
The rivets might could be used for N main crankpins, diameter is close, but the heads are large compared to the other’s I have.

Dick,
PM me your addy.
This one makes four in my stash. I have 3 Mikes, all with good drawbars, so would be happy to help out and send you one.

Thanks, Donzi. PM sent but am not sure it went out as it's not in my "sent box". I'll try another so if you get two, you'll know why!
